Faculty should apply if the project meets one or more of the
following criteria.
- Encourages or investigates innovative teaching methods.
- Involves collaboration with other colleagues for instructional purposes.
- Fulfills an individualized need to help attain teaching excellence.
- Impacts instruction and learning in the classroom.
- Brings multi-cultural perspective into the classroom.
- Involves cross-disciplinary or collaborative efforts within a department or
campuses.
Funding will not be provided for:
- Long, ongoing projects that need funding from year to year,
- Non-faculty travel or expenses,
- Equipment or major purchases (rental of equipment or software purchases may
be allowed),
- Applicant’s college or university tuition or salaries.
Instructions
for 2008 Honorariums
- Complete the application form and submit electronically.
- Include brochures or information to support or explain the project.
- Submit a detailed budget itemizing all costs and all revenue sources related
to the project.
- Devise a plan for assessing the project.
- Activity must be completed by December 31, 2008. To garner reimbursement,
the applicant will submit an executive summary detailing objectives, activities,
and assessment of the project. Executive summaries are submitted to the NDCCC
Secretary/Treasurer on or before December 3, 2008. The executive summary
may be submitted electronically in the format of the applicant’s choice
(PowerPoint, web page, et cetera).
Deadlines
Please
submit your application electronically to the NDCCC
Secretary/Treasurer by December 3, 2007. Funds are limited and the final
decision will be made by the NDCCC executive committee on or about March 1,
2008. If you are selected to receive a mini-grant, an award letter will be
mailed to you after March 15, 2008.
